GENERAL INFORMATION

REGISTRATION: Registrations will be accepted by mail or will be taken at the
door either Friday night or Saturday morning. We encourage you to pre-register
 by mail prior to September 20. A form is attached for your convenience.

REGISTRATION FEE: Fee for the Symposium this year will be $25.00 in advance
or $27.00 at the door

(includes light lunch on Saturday and Sunday).

SLIDE PROGRAMS: Short mineral slide or PowerPoint programs are desired
for Friday night. We
request that you notify the General Chairman in advance of the content of your program. Programs should not exceed 15 minutes. A Kodak Carousel projector and LCD computer projector and laptop will be available. Please bring your
own if a different one is needed.

SALES: Micromounts and mineral specimens of interest to micromounters will be
available. Specimen trimmers, pamphlets, and other items also will be available.

As space is very limited, contact Steve Weinberger (cscrystals2@verizon.net)
ahead of time if you desire to sell any items at the Symposium to ensure
availability of space.

DONATION AUCTION: Please contact Al Pribula () if you wish to donate
any items for the voice auction to benefit the Micromounter’s Hall of Fame to be held Saturday.

GIVE-AWAY TABLE: An important characteristic of the micromounter is his
or her pleasure in sharing.
Space outside the workshop room will be provided
for the sharing of surplus specimens. In the past, these have been from dozens
 of localities across the U.S., Canada, and other countries. Please help to make
 this a valuable part of the Symposium by bringing
good material to share.

DIRECTORY OFMICROMOUNTERS: Copies of the latest edition of the
International Directory of Micromounters, with an exclusive list of micromounters, micromount societies and micromount dealers, published by the Baltimore Mineral Society, Inc. will be available for sale.

MICROMOUNTERS Items of historical interest will be on display, including
John Ebner’s collection of HALL OF FAME: historic mounts. If you wish to
have one of your micromounts included in the
Hall of Fame collection, please
bring it with you to the Symposium.

below for your
convenience. Listing of these motels does not consititute a recommendation by the
Society. There are no special rooms being held for
us. Please make your reservation as early as possible, at least 10 days in advance.

The Conference center is south of Baltimore...(about 8 miles south of the
 southern side of Baltimore Beltway – I-695) very close to Interstate 95.

Drive on I-95 from North or South to Route 100 East (Glen Burnie) exit.

Go 1/2 mile to ramp exit onto Route 1 South. (Off to right)

Go 1/2 mile to first light at Dorsey Road.

Turn left on Dorsey Road and go 2/3 mile to Douglas Legum Drive
 at Dorsey Business Park.

Turn left on Douglas Legum Drive and take one block to its end.

Turn right on Deerpath Road and MHA is immediately on the left.

Park on the street side of the new 2 story building.
